Essential Services Division

PMMRAC is responsible for maintaining the Remote Area Essential Services Program (RAESP) for the Aboriginal communities located in the Pilbara, Gascoyne and Murchison regions.

The Essential Services Division is responsible for servicing and maintaining power generation, water and wastewater infrastructures and includes an intensive water quality program which involves the sampling and testing of drinking water to ensure that the drinking water being consumed in the communities meets Australian drinking standards and health guidelines as set down by the Western Australian Department of Health.

The Essential Services team is committed to maintaining all equipment to a very high standard to minimise breakdowns and to maximise the quality and consistency of the services provided to our communities. PMMRAC provides a 24 hour emergency call out service to respond to emergency and unplanned maintenance required from time to time at communities.
